Enhancing regional aviation infrastructure through strategic expansion.

The Scone CBD Revitalisation project will have a transformative effect on the Upper Hunter region, providing a significant economic boost to Scone and creating exciting new opportunities for local businesses, resulting in positive economic growth and development.

Engenicom was engaged by Upper Hunter Shire Council to provide project management services, ensuring the successful delivery of the revitalisation project.

Key responsibilities included:

  • Management of delivery of detailed design:
    • Road and pavement design to TfNSW standards.
    • Landscape architecture.
    • Civil design.
    • Ausgrid electrical upgrade.
    • Communications relocation.
    • Street lighting (private lighting network).
    • Irrigation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Regular reporting to the Project Control Group, Council’s Infrastructure Services Committee, and the Revitalisation Committee—a group of community members and councillors overseeing the project.
    • Liaising with affected businesses, business groups, and the community through various channels.
  • Administration of Funding:
    • Managing funding obtained from seven individual grants, ensuring regular reporting and reconciliation.
    • Tender development, assessment, and award.
    • Contract administration of the Principal Contractor under the GC21 framework.
    • Internal reporting to Upper Hunter Shire Council Management and Project Control Group.
    • Managing asset handover, as-built documentation, and capitalisation of assets to council’s asset team.
