The New Intercity Fleet (NIF) Maintenance Facility project involved constructing a state-of-the-art facility on the Central Coast of NSW for the maintenance, storage, and provisioning of new and existing train fleets. The facility features a 240m maintenance building, auxiliary workshops, a train lift system, and specialized infrastructure, including a bogie turntable and overhead gantry cranes. It also includes an underfloor wheel lathe building, a train wash facility, and rail overpass and underpass bridges.
Engenicom provided project management services by supplementing the client’s project team with engineering resources to support the delivery of the facility within scope, budget, and quality constraints.
