More Trains More Services Stage 3A

Delivering critical rail infrastructure upgrades to improve service reliability and capacity.

The More Trains More Services (MTMS) Program is a series of staged investments designed to progressively deliver service improvements across the Sydney Trains and NSW Trains network. Stage 3A delivers civil, HV power, signalling, and communications systems upgrades across the Sydney Trains network. This includes infrastructure upgrades at Lidcombe, Sefton Park Junction, Glenfield to Campbelltown, Sydney West Overhead Wiring, as well as signalling upgrades for Newtown to Redfern and Homebush to Strathfield.

Engenicom provided commercial management expertise, supporting pre-contracts and procurement for this significant transport infrastructure program.

Key responsibilities included:

• Managing the competitive procurement process, including tender evaluation and reporting.
• Preparing contract schedules, exhibits, and documentation to support contract execution.
• Attending workshops and collaborating with key stakeholders throughout the tendering process.
• Overseeing the independent estimator’s assessment and preparing cost evaluation reports.
• Developing and presenting reports to the Tender Review Committee.
• Acting as a commercial subject matter expert (SME) for the tendering process.

Engenicom’s contributions were instrumental in ensuring rigorous procurement governance, effective contract negotiation, and smooth project progression for the delivery of MTMS Stage 3A.
