The Moorebank Intermodal Precinct, operated by Qube Logistics, is Australia’s largest logistics hub. It integrates advanced rail and road transport systems to handle over 1.5 million TEU annually. The precinct reduces road congestion and emissions while generating renewable energy, offering significant environmental and economic benefits.

Engenicom was engaged by Qube Logistics to conduct an external audit of the Open Access Regime at the Moorebank Intermodal Terminal, ensuring compliance with the Development and Operations Deed between Moorebank Intermodal Company (MIC) and the Sydney Intermodal Terminal Alliance (SIMTA).

Key responsibilities included:

• Verifying that Qube Logistics, as the terminal operator, maintained open and non-discriminatory access for third-party operators.
• Conducting audits using ISO19011-based structured methodologies, including document reviews, site inspections, and stakeholder interviews.
• Assessing compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.
• Delivering a comprehensive report outlining audit findings and recommendations for MIC and Qube Logistics.
